GIRL RISING

The Global Issues Network (GIN) empowers young people to collaborate locally, regionally and globally to create solutions for global issues. Each year, thousands of students worldwide engage in GIN-related activities. Any middle/high school aged student is welcome to join.

 

 

On October 2013, eleven students of Franklin Delano Roosevelt attended the GIN conference in Quito, Ecuador. They visited Cotopaxi volcano, and learned about the Ecuadorian culture. Five of the students represented Girl Rising. In the presentation they talked about their inspirations, what they've done, and future plans. They also offered a workshop to help the audience understand that women can change the world!
